Life Skill Education

Of young adults who age out of foster care, 1 in 5 will become homeless and 1 in 4 will become incarcerated.

The goal of life skills education is to equip individuals with appropriate knowledge on risk-taking behaviors and develop skills such as communication, assertiveness, self-awareness, decision-making, problem-solving, critical and creative thinking to protect them from abuse and exploitation.

The goal of the foundation is to create an education program that addresses promotions of self-empowerment, prevention of alcohol and drug abuse, and reintegration back into society.

We have partnered with Arçelik, Elgin Community College, Northwestern University, and Middleby Corporation to empower our Life Skill Education program.
